Phonics and Rhymes: 60 min (Pre N-K3)
Metrotown innovative Phonics and rhymes program will help your child to practice essential key skills needed to progress through the formative primary years. Fun, magical characters and fantastic illustrations are combined with easy step-by-step National Curriculum based activities, to lay a very solid foundation required to become a fluent reader and accurate speller.
Step 1 -Recognizing common vowel sounds and their spelling patterns, practicing consonant blends, applying plural endings and splitting words into syllables.
Step 2 -Applying spelling rules, adding prefixes and suffixes, understanding verbs endings, using apostrophes, making compound words and identifying silent letters.
